Meet Lu'Dhay:
Hello! My name is Lu'Dhay Rucker, I am from Stafford, Virginia, and I currently live in Huntsville, Alabama. My passion lies in screenwriting and directing, but I am multifaceted and have training in various fields related to the communications industry.
I have my Bachelors degree from Alabama A&M University, where I studied Communications Media with a concentration in performance. And graduated with Summa Cum Laude honors. I am currently attending Houston Christian University to get my Masters degree in Cinematic Arts.
During my undergraduate years, I was a member of the Bulldog Players - the on-campus theatre club. And a member of Alpha Psi Omega - the National Theatre Honor Society.
I have over four years of experience within the Communications field, being trained in the following areas: screenwriting, directing, production, journalism, and performance as an undergraduate and graduate student.
My main responsibilities, which directly relate to the Communications field, are highlighted below.
- Running play rehearsals
- Helping to place actors in roles that best suited them
- Setting up and breaking down sets and props
- Assisting the lead director as a student director
- Completing director prompt books
- Managing equipment and schedules
- Filmed, written, directed, produced, and edited multiple news packages
